Stella Cole Dazzles with Vintage Elegance and Charm

Launching the Webb Center’s year-long celebration of the nation’s 250^th birthday, is rising vocal sensation Stella Cole on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. With her velvet tone, classic glamour, and viral performances that have captivated millions, Cole honors mid-century American culture as a refreshing, young interpreter of the Great American Songbook. Born in a small town in Illinois, Cole grew up on iconic movie musicals such as “The Wizard of Oz,” “Singin’ in the Rain,” and “Meet Me in St. Louis.” These films shaped her artistry from a young age. She recalls watching “The Wizard of Oz” every day for over a year, absorbing the emotional power of Garland long before she knew she was influencing her vocal style.

Cole first gained widespread attention during the pandemic, when simple home-recorded videos of standards like “Moon River” and “Everybody Says Don’t” began spreading across social media. Her warm tone and sincerity resonated with audiences across generations, eventually leading to performances at renowned venues like Birdland, the Café Carlyle, and Carnegie Hall, as well as national tours with Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox orchestra.
