At the Webb Center, every great performance begins with a warm welcome. Our volunteers help create the friendly, inviting atmosphere that makes every guest feel at home, from the moment they arrive until the final applause.
Whether you’re greeting patrons before a show or helping young artists discover their creativity at Camp Imagination, you’ll play an important role in bringing the performing arts to life for our community.
No experience in the arts is required. If you enjoy meeting people, giving back, and being part of something special, we’d love to welcome you to our volunteer family.

Front of House Volunteers
HELP CREATE AN UNFORGETTABLE NIGHT
Our Front of House volunteers are often the first faces patrons see when they arrive. Their friendliness, hospitality, and helpfulness set the tone for an exceptional experience.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDE:
- Greeting patrons
- Scanning tickets
- Distributing programs
- Answering guest questions
- Assisting with merchandise sales
- Escorting guests to their seats
- Assist with emergency protocols
Volunteer assignments typically last about four hours, and are requested to commit to serving at 6 shows per season.
To ensure the best experience for our guests, volunteers should be comfortable standing for extended periods, climbing stairs, opening heavy doors, and assisting patrons throughout the venue.
Camp Imagination Volunteers
INSPIRE THE NEXT GENERATION
Every summer, Camp Imagination comes to life thanks to an incredible team of volunteers. Parents, grandparents, retired teachers, and community members work alongside our teaching artists to create a fun, safe, and encouraging environment where children can explore music, theatre, dance, and visual arts.
Volunteers assist with daily camp activities, classroom support, and camper supervision. No arts background is required—just enthusiasm, dependability, and a love of working with children.
As a thank you, Camp Imagination volunteers receive early registration opportunities for eligible children or grandchildren before general registration opens. Priority is given to volunteers who can commit to an entire two-week camp session.

Volunteer Requirements
Is Volunteering Right for You?
Our volunteers are the heart of the Webb Center. If you enjoy meeting new people, supporting the arts, and helping guests have a memorable experience, we’d love to have you on our team.
OUR VOLUNTEERS:
- Enjoy the performing arts and giving back to the community.
- Love making people feel welcome.
- Are available to volunteer for approximately 8 to 10 performances each season (November through May).
What You’ll Do
As a Front of House volunteer, you may:
- Welcome guests as they arrive.
- Scan tickets and distribute programs.
- Help patrons find their seats.
- Answer questions and provide directions.
- Assist with merchandise sales when needed.
All volunteers attend a seasonal orientation and training each fall. On performance days, you’ll arrive about 90 minutes before curtain for a pre-show briefing and venue preparation.
Dress Code
Volunteers are ambassadors for the Webb Center, and we ask everyone to dress in a neat, professional manner. Volunteer scarfs or bolo ties, name badges and flashlights will be provided.
Women
- White blouse (no sleeveless or tank tops)
- Black slacks or knee-length (or longer) skirt
- Black or dark brown closed-toe shoes with a back or heel strap
Men
- White collared shirt (short or long sleeve)
- Black slacks
- Black or dark brown closed-toe shoes
Physical Requirements
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, volunteers should be able to:
- Stand for extended periods.
- Walk up and down stairs.
- Open heavy doors.
- Assist patrons during an emergency if needed.
What to Expect
Most volunteer shifts last about four hours. You’ll have the opportunity to enjoy the performance from your assigned location while remaining available to assist guests throughout the event.
